It's been a while since I first installed my raptors in 0 and put a fresh install on them, but I might be doing it again soon and I can't seem to remember what file I had to get from Microsofts website in order to make it work. I'm using the hardware in my orange sig. I know that I had to grab a file off of MS website and put it on a 3.5 when I was installing. I'm also wondering if there is another way to do it? It still seems odd to me that Asus included the raid driver on their cd that can only be loaded once inside windows....I don't follow the logic there. Anyway if someone can tell me the name of the file or maybe link it I would be very appreciative.

I found the Promise FastTrak 378 RAID Driver V1.00.1.37 for Windows XP on Asus's support site... it's a zip file so you could probably unzip it on another machine and then copy it to a floppy. Here's the link to the actual download:

http://www.asus.com/pub/ASUS/misc/ide/pdc20378/378raid_100137.zip

Here's where I found it:

Will thse drivers here not work?

http://www.asus.com/support/download/item.aspx?ModelName=P4C800-E%20Deluxe&Type=All&SLanguage=en-us

They are the Promise FastTrak 378 RAID Drivers V1.00.1.37 for windows. The file size is 1.41MB which seems to me they will fit on a 3.5 floppy perfectly.

Edit: Looks like I was too late.

Wow, very nice respose time :) Actually I left a very important bit of information out. I'm not using the Promise controller, I'm using the ICH5R. Silly me.

Well that is funny here is a new link. I think what you need will be option 4. Whcih will be the newest version of drivers for a floppy.

Score! Thanks a ton, I knew I was off base when looking for this at Microsoft's site. I should have remembered it was Intel's App Accelerator. Thanks again. I really think it's wierd that they didn't include a 3.5 or something with the mobo's for people that wanted to stripe it. I mean hey, what if I didn't have an interenet connection or even have a way to start up the computer to get online without having my drives hooked up :bang head

Thanks to the Big Guys for looking out for the little guy.

An install floppy can be built from your Asus CD.
