I was wondering what Temps People got On their Athlons, What type of measuring thing you use, and what kinda cooling/ what fan/heatsink you guys use?

Also Some people have been wonderign with a normal fan what kinda temperature differences are there beetwen asus Probe and Propperly Measuring Temps?

It would be nice if someone With a normal Fan heatsink type hing with an asus motherboard and a heat measuign thing Installed could post both Temperatures.

Ive got A Vantec 6035D I think with 2 60mm YStech Out Fans and A sunon 80mm Fan intake, 900MhZ Athlon No OC, Asus Probe is tellign me about 48 CPU and 34 MB Idle...This seems a bit high to me

Thanks,

I use the MBM5 program to mesure my temps. I use a crap heatsink the mini super orb, and my ambient temp is a little high about 30C. My CPU is 1200 Athlon and it idles on 52 and 55 on full load with Prime95.

I tried to aim a house fan into the open case and let the comp idle for some time the temp droped from 54 (at that time) to 47! if u have the space, noise durability and a extrahouse fan you should use it. ;)

BTW welcome to the forum
