If its a freak, I'll bring home the digital camera from work 2morrow. Getting set to epoxy the L1's 2morrow, thats if my VanTek comes in.
Its pretty damn red.
There is a red Duron at Arctic Silver's instruction page. (http://www.arcticsilver.com/arctic_silver_instructions.htm)
I believe you I had a red duron 600 that would do 1200 with 2.33v and water cooling. I have heard that red cores don't overclock well but mine did. Let us know how high you get the thing.

"On the CPU, Arctic Silver II should only be applied to the top of the core. The core is the raised rectangle in the center of the CPU and is highlighted in red in the photos below of an AMD and Intel CPU."

Ill get a photo anyhow for the record before I mount the Vantek.
Hey, I couldnt post to the cooling forum, so I will paste my post here. This one is bugging me:
Hey all,
Got a Vantek 6035D coming in tomorrow, want to hook the fat Delta38 to my KT7A. I gotta an Associates in Electronics, dont want to fry nothing.
The tech at Vantek said the Delta38 draws .19a. Other sites have it listed as high as .48a. Vantek says its okay on Abit's.
I like sensors but I realize I cant have everything. Use the 3pin or the 4pin?
Thanks - BTW this site and forum is top shelf stuff!! Glad I decided to start OCng

i think the motherboard can handle it....i put computers together for people and they can plug the delta onto the motherboard 3 pin connector no problem...it works

(if they ever make a white motherboard that'll glow under blacklight, then I'll change my mind about poser-cases [windowed] and make one) :D
Isn't the CUSL2-C available in White?
:)
But that's Intel. Never goin' there, I've never purchased an Intel CPU and I'm darn proud of it.

I heard something about the red cores awhile ago. I read something along the lines of the crew working the late shift on saturdays in the dresden plant was painting cores red or something, just for fun. I could be wrong though, it's been a long time since I've even heard about a red core.
