Pump heat

How hot is too hot for the pump? I've been running my rig in a test environment (it's not ready yet) and I had converted a submersible pump to external and I noticed after a few days of running it's kinda hot. Should I put it in the path of the fans so it'll get cooled a bit?

Well, I don't know much about water cooling but I can say that a submersible pump needs the liquid surrounding it to keep it cool. I don't think they employ any means of air cooling.
Just like a submersible water pump or sump pump, the water it sits in cools it.
Or am I all wet????:D
