hey guys,

I've been trying to oc my video card without much sucess. i've seen on these boards people getting up to 550+/340+. 34 idle, 50 load.

I can't get above 530/318 without major artifacts and the game freezing. What i've been doing was, raise mem/core using radlinker then run artifact scanner from ati-tool. I currently have the card at agp 8x, vpu recover on, fastwrite on. with 1.5 volts to the agp. Gpu aperature size is 128, agp frequencey is set to auto. I havn't really played around with these settings. Any advice in order to oc furthur?

You may want to try disabling fastwrites. It's known to cause issues with ATI cards sometimes, and could very well be the source of the problems you're encountering.

Well first I would turn fastwrites off. Then set the agp frequencey to 66mhz. If vpu recover keeps kicking in I would just disable it. See if any of that helps.

well i tried disabling fastwrite and setting the agp freq to 66 but it didn't help out much, only got an extra 5 mhz each. any other ideas?

edit-well i thought i might add this in. The computer sometimes locks up when scanning for artifacts using ati-tool. I'll try to install previous drivers and see if i can get anywhere with that. right now iam using the 4.7 omegas.
