This is a follow-up to an earlier post. I'm having a problem with the start up/shut down. I originally believed the problem was the switch or power supply. Here is the situation:

- the problem started with the computer immediately restarting after shut down. I had to pull the plug to shut down. Then it wouldn't start from the switch. It would start by flipping the power supply switch and unplugging/replugging the power cord. It usually takes 6-10 tries to get it started.

- I reversed the lead for the switch on the mobo. It didn't help.

- I jumped the switch contacts and it didn't start.

- the switch does turn the computer off when pushed.

- a second psu does not fix the problem.

I guess the problem is a bad mobo. Does anyone have any other ideas?

Thanks,

Sherm
