I searched through the forums, but didn't find any "budget" solutions.
Looking for 1gb of memory, cost around 215 bucks.
Abit Is7-E, attempting to push a 2.8C as far as possible.
Here is what I'm deciding between:

or

Thanks for the advice

go with the ocz, worlds ahead of the PMI and better for overclocking.

Is the OCZ overall a good idea, or should I look for something else?

The Adata or the Simpletech Nitro would be very good for the money on a P4.
PM FlapperHead about it, he has been doing some testing.
If it was a64 I would say go with tight timings, even on a divisor it would rock.
I'm not a P4 guy, but my local best buy has KHX PC4000 for $119 after rebate, 512MB sticks. Not a bad deal.
EDIT: so check out your BB! lol.

I checked BB today. They didn't have any sales on high end stuff.
Guess I'm going to buy the OCZ.

Or is this stuff better than both of those?

for that kind of money, (215.00) my suggestion would be to go to bb or cc when they have the kingston valueram on sale. look thu the window for modules that have bt-d43 or ct d43 chips in them .these modules will oc 260/265 at loose timings which would be almost exactly how far the average p4 2.8c will go.. thats the only way i know of to get ram that cheaply..
