:D following on from my uber blowhole mod ( http://www.ocforums.com/showthread.php?t=259087 )
I decided i'd drill some holes in the front bezel to let air in, and make a nice little window! I think my modding skills are getting slightly better... soon i think ill be able to work on a decent case :)

What do you think?
Took hours of dremmeling! the case is really poor though because its got an inner metal sheet, and an outer plastic mould (insulation?!) so i had to cut a window shape twice, and the dremmel melted the outer plastic off, rather than cut it, hehe.

The window hole looks good but you may have a problem getting one to fit the bend in the case (use boiling water w/ plexi ~ it doesn't make bubbles in the window like a heat gun dose ;)). It also looks like your restricting the air flow for your water cooler. I looked at your blow hole mod and it's open enough for the fan but the air flow from the case is weak. I would cut the bottom edge off of the case; the lip on the plastic under the the holes you drilled and see if your temps drop. lower speeds on the Deremel and less force will keep the melting down to a minimum as well.

I used your pic to show the edge I am talking about. I did this on one of my first cases and it looked stock but was 100X better for the air flow...Brings back memories of the old days

Right, done that, and removed a part of the Power button casing where the word plastic is in your pic, that was blocking part of the blowhole, its covered by another plastic part on the front (black part) so the mod is invisible ;)

Might be able to knock it down another 1~2C just by lifting the case up "at the feet" 10mm. This will increase the breath-ability of the vent you just made ;). 4 = stacks of coins for testing should tell you quick if it needs more or not. Another thing to note is if you swap out the fan at a later date with a higher power one it can end up needing even more vent area.

Im going to get an Antec P160 soon unless i find a nicer alu case with 120mm's, a window and no drivebay door. I doubt i'll be upgrading fans before then. So im just playing around modding/destroying this case for the moment. ta for help though :)
