Fan Installation question...re: amps

I am thinking of purchasing 1 or 2 of those 235cfm fans and it says they draw 2.26 amps. So, if i put one in my machine will i have to make any voltage adjustments or will it run ok with normal settings ?

When voltage is low(read PC PS's), amperage MUST be high when real power is needed. If these monster fans indeed run on 12 VDC, personally I'd dedicate a separate PS for the fan's use. 4.5 Amps is a heck of a lot of draw on the 12v leg of a PS. Just grab an old 250W AT PS, and wire just the big fans to it.

I have an old 200 watt power supply....do you think that would be sufficiant to run those fans or fan ?

200 watt should be fine

Im running 4 92mm 4 80mm and 2 120mm off a dedicated 250watt AT now and its going fine
