On ATI's site they have two drivers for the Radeon 64mb DDR. One is fully supported and then their is a beta which has better suppot for direct x 8 and open gl. Anyone know if the beta is any good or should I stick with the supported drivers?

I'm running the 7153 beta set. I'm not really sure how much of a difference there really is. Go ahead and try some of the beta's. It can't hurt. Worst comes to worse you uninstall the drivers and reinstall the old ones.

Depends what you're after. The 7153 beta's are generally fine, but if it's FPS or 3dMark2001 scores you're after you're better sticking with the 7075s, they're the fastest available at the moment.

I'd avoid the Radeon Beta drivers. I've had problems w/ them before (My Diablo II and Quake 3 stopped working) Just stick w/ the supported drivers. They'll do till the new ones are (hopefully) finally released.

The beta drivers for the RADEON (win2k version 5.13.01.3211) are way better than the supported drivers, haven't had any problems with them @ all and they even raised my 3Dmark2001 score by 150

I've tried numerous versions of beta drivers with my Radeon and never had one problem with any games.
