View Full Version : Intel and 2 GHZ P4s

Today Intel released the 2 GHZ P4. Amd had been looking so good lately but a gap of 600 MHZ is not very good for marketing. Intel chips are still to expensive and not fast enough clock for clock so I won't be getting one anytime soon. If this trend continues Intel chips may get cheep enough to tempt me into buying one. Is there any info floating around about price cuts in the near future?

Nothing official yet... lots of rumors though.

Pricewatch is still the same as Friday.

Yes but it will take a little while before the lower prices show up at retailers.

Yeah I think I'll stick with my $100 1.33@1700 for now. The p4 would have to be very cheep for me to switch.
