Need some XP debugging help

I am having trouble getting a piece of software to run -Reader Rabbit – Preschool (Ya - It’s For My Son!). The software won’t run during regular startup of Windows XP, Sp1 but will run fine if I run it in “Safe Boot” Mode. This leads me to believe there is either a background application running or device driver that it doesn’t like. What is the best way to trouble shoot and find the culprit? Thanks.

Well, you could run msconfig, and disable one app at a time that loads with startup until you find the one in question.
