Since im not getting any money for a few weeks im stuck with 512mb. Doom3 runs fine with 512mb but only on medium settings and 1024x768. If iturn on high @ 1024x768 or medium @ 1280x1024 reso It laggs considerably jerking around like crazy due to not enough ram even tho my fps is fine.

Farcry doesnt run very good either. The mods for BF1942 like Forgotten hope and DC lagg also.

Iv turned everything off in windows that i could and freed up 60mb but it still does this. So i have 3 decisions to make

#1) Stick with the 512mb pc4200 ADATA ram @ 280mhz 1:1 ratio 3-4-4-8-1t timmings and turn down some video setting to cover up for the small amount of ram. Memory badn is 4200 and 97% eff

#2) Put my Samsung stick in the pc and run @ 250x10 memory @ 208 using 3-4-4-8-1t timmings. My memory bandwidth drops 1000 points but my games dont jerk anymore @ high graphic settings.

#3) Put the sammy in and run @ 250x10 1:1 ratio but turn the 1t timming down to 2t have 400 points higher bandwidth then #2 but the effincy drops 15%

So far im thinking #3 would be my best bet until i can get my other adata stick.

Sorry, its a 512mb pc3200 stick. Basicly id be getting 1gb of memory at a sacrifise of 1200 points of memory bandwidth and 15% effiency

Going from 4200/4200 97% . To 3300/3300 82%

This is only temporary until i get another Adata stick

a gig of slower memory is better for most games than 512 of fast one... kinda sux but games are more dependent on how much ram you've got, not it's speed. plus with 2 sticks you get to use dual channel, which should compensate some.

Thier is no duel channle on the S754 A64's. But yea Until my other pc4200 stick arrives for 1gb i guess the loss of performance Justifies the amount of ram i gain
