Does anybody use this program? I'm using Mbm5 now and
I was just wondering if vcool was better or just the same.

MBM5 and Vcool have two totally different usages. MBM5 is to monitor various motherboard functions such as temps, voltages, and fan speeds. Vcool is a program that sends a HLT instruction to the CPU so that it runs cooler at idle.

And it runs a LOT cooler at that!

Now if your running something like SETI@home or folding@home all the time V-cool is almost useless.

I swear by Vcool. Check my sig, that was before Vcool and using this POS Thermaltake Super Mini Orb on a T-bird 900.

Currently with Vcool and that POS orb: 33 degrees Celsius while surfing the net. When I wake up, it's around 30-31 degrees Celsius after idling all night.

Even when I do have a high load it only goes up to 41 degrees Celsius.

Get this program! You will not regret it!

I kept my WW BIOS so I don't really need VCool. I did download the program so that in the future if I upgrade to a later KT7AR BIOS I can still take advantage of the idle temp.

Thanks,
