I have a Radeon 9200 and i tried installing the latest drivers, but now as soon as i get into windows i get a VPU recover and it switches to software rendering.
I disabled VPU recover to see if that would help, but then i got an even nastier error message from windows and it switched to 4 bit colour (there's a 4 bit colour? :eh?: )
I'm pretty sure it's not overheating i have 2 80mm fans blowing at it, stock HS with AS3, it's not very hot to the touch either.
any help would be apreciated, i want to start playing doom3 again :)

If you are running Xp try reverting back to previous drivers or get the cat's remover from Ati and remove the existing one and reinstall the older ones.

I installed older drivers and it works, but it's wierd that the newer drivers wouldn't work.

EDIT: Still doesn't work, shortly after this post, video died and now i get the same problems i had before, why don't newer drivers help?!? :bang head

I have the same problem with my 9200. But in addition my screen with flash black every 10 sec. on some warcraft games. I tried all kinds of drivers but it still happens sometimes but not all the time.It only happens on warcraft, maybe a conflict in the game?
