yeah lots of people run that up to 270 and higher. That cpu voltage is very high. Is this an air-cooled system? If it is you really need to keep it BELOW 1.625 at idle.
 
If he has P4C800 DX board, 1.62V-1.65V is utterly useless....lolzzz those 2 settings dont work coz they give 1.52-1.55V during load........What matter the most is the Load....not the idle...
