Well, i got a sapphire x800 pro vivo, got it in last week. First of all, it's watercooled, so the temperature isnt an issue in this case(i wouldnt think), as it never reaches over 43 degrees C, even under load conditions. Anyway, i use ATI tool to overclock this sucker, and last week, i was able to get it up to 540 core and 560 mem with it FINALLY locking up on me. (memory is 1.6n, not 2.0n). Anyway, now i can't even get the core up to 510mhz without it locking up. Even if the memory is lowered, the core wont go over 510. Even sometimes at 507-509, it'll lock up. I just dont understand why last week i was able to overclock this card big time, and now i can't overclock it at all. :bang head
I'm so confused and stumped as to why its doin this, its not even funny.
BTW, is there a program that can check what kind of voltage the card is runnin at? I have a 1.5v and 1.7v setting in my bios, don't know which one to set it at, if it matters.

Make sure the heatsink didn't move on your vid card.My rig was working great then I was getting freezing on my rig and finally it stopped working, I opened it and found the NB block broke off on one side and I fried the chipset on my mobo. So much for water, I use air now. I change things all the time in my rig to worry about water.

If the heatsink moved, wouldnt the temperatures go up? As long as the temperatures are fine, it shouldnt matter, should it?

That's tricky...
I wouldn't recomend changing the voltage settings in the bios, but have you tried volt-modding the card?

No, i havent tried volt modding it.
I'm too afraid of burning up ANOTHER $400+ video card.
So there isnt any software that can monitor the AGP voltage? or is there?
Help!! :bang head

Well if you just want to make sure the AGP voltage is correct you could use MBM5 or whatever software came with your motherboard. It should be at 1.55 volts.
Have you added any other devices to the system (i.e. hard drives or dvd drives), or have you overclocked your cpu since then? If you have then I'd guess you have a power problem and should get a new PSU. If you haven't, then have you installed any new drivers at all (like chipset or video drivers)? If so (or even if you haven't) you should reinstall the drivers that you were using when you achieved those speeds.
I guess you haven't tried softmodding that biatch, huh?

No, i havent tried soft modding it.
I was actually going to using the guide that's in this forum, but i can't even get past 510 core now, so theres no point. plus i'm too scared, lol.
My PSU is an Antec Truepower 480, and i havent changed a thing since i put the system together. it's weird.

Jezzus im having the same problem with mine, sapphire x800vivo(toxic ed) modded to XT PE, it locks up just dont wanna run and my temps under load is 46 as well so i dont know what da hell is wrong, its 1.6ns aswell, i have everything top notch in my case dont know what da hell is going on!
PS: im using the 4.9 Betas now see if that helps, it helped me a little bit, but i still freeze at higher clocks
