I'm looking for a slipstream program to make a CD-R from my SP1a cd -> SP2 final. I tried searching on the forums, couldn't find anything :(

there isnt a program, you have to do it by hand
check http://www.nu2.nu/ for more info

won't work by hand for me, oh well. what are the advantages of slipstream besides having to spend less time installing updates?

If you have to do a system repair using your XP install CD, all your repaired files will be up to date rather than replaced with the old ones from XP/XPsp1.

Actually, I remember seeing a program that would do it about 2 months ago. I'll run a search and see what I pull.
edit:The search on this forum is wonderful :)

Actually it says "all Windows XP and Office XP Service Packs up to SP2 (SP2 1213 for Windows XP)."" It means SP2 1213 for Office not Windows XP. It works for Win XP SP2.

I found the link directory and grabbed a copy for myself.

That's an old 2.1 version. There's supposed to be a newer 2.5 out soon.

My matter what I try to do, the XP Home full cd that came with my Dell can not be slipstreamed using SP2. the Dell cd comes with SP1a integrated

What does that have to do with anything? SP2 will overwrite the files.
the old flexbeta slipsteamer woudln't let me slipstream SP2... doing it manually isn't very hard...
i used this guide

I use AutoStreamer from UltimateBootCD, http://www.windowsubcd.com/downloads.htm i used it to creat my first slipstream cd about a week ago. if you want to add software to your windows cd check here http://www.ocforums.com/showthread.php?t=320685
msfn.org has a nice guide and program for easy sp2 splipstreaming.
The link is: http://www.msfn.org/articles.php?action=show&showarticle=49
That article has the link to the program nLite which they then show you how to use to do a very easy slipstream.
