Farcry Coop patch?

Anyone tried the new coop patch that just came out? It is suppose to let 3 people play through the single player game together...if this was the case, it would be awsome and I might have to buy the game

I found this mod while searching for new Doom 3 mods yesterday.

I tried it last night with a friend. Considering it is still an alpha it works relatively well. One thing I noticed was the performance was poor. I'm guessing this is due to the fact that I was hosting the server. Next time I give the mod a shot I'll join another game and see if the performance is any better.

To play coop I assume its Lan only? Or is there a way for a friend to join in? Or would a VPN possibly work?

You can play over the internet too. Last I checked there were about 6 coop servers up. I didn't bother trying to play since all of their pings were over 150.

Well I played at a lan party and it ran like crap. I dunno why. I think my rig was the slowest of the 8 playing, lol. Well we used a 3Ghz P4 (2GB Ram and RAID 0) rig a guy had as the server and it still lagged... I dunno what was wrong, plus we couldnt end the 1st round. We beat it but it just wouldnt go to the next level, we just gave up on it, lol. I bet it will be better, hopefully it will with future releases.
