1) I downloaded winclient blah blah..
2)I installed it four times and in 4 different directories.
No I try to open them from there coresponding directories and the first one asks me for my user name etc but the rest just start folding with the same ID number. How do I get them to work correctly?
Also I had EM installed in the first FAH directoryu and it says it cannot find the FAH client when I try to run it.
ok with the first one it is normal just leave it normally
for the other ones make a shortcut on the desktop then right click on it and choose properties when the properties box comes type in "-local" in the box with the directory in it with out the quotes
do this for all of the other 3 clients and you should be set to go

Ok, Install the first one normally. Start it and put in info, and wait for it to get work and start folding.Like this.
Writing local files:
- Writing "project.key": successful.
- Writing "project.xyz": successful.
PROJECT="project", NSTEPS=500000, DT=2.00, DTDUMP=10.00, TEMP=338.00

Then shut it down and install second client to directory like c:\Prog.......folding@home2.
Highlight fah.exe and make a new shortcut. Right click shortcut and click properties and and then shortcut In the target box, add the -local, Like this.
"C:\Program Files\Folding@Home\fah.exe" -local
If the line has quotes after it you have to leave a space before the -local, or it won't accept it. click apply and ok. start fah from new shortcut, and it will say "running from local directory" put in your user info and let it get work and then shut it down and do it again if you want more. Unless you use EM, you have to use the new shortcuts to start, so that it is running local with the different user id# or it won'twork right. If you use EM youhave to drag the fah.exe to the second cpu line, and NOT the shortcut. HopeI didn't confuse you. Maybee Allen can explain it in an easier to understand way. :confused:
