In short, even though my kewl componets, my crap kingston pc3700 ram seems not to like anything but 1:1 and thus my p4 2.4c is underpowerd in sig...

So im gonna get these:

http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=20-146-950&depa=1

performance ocz pc3500 1gb dual channel kit (2x512mb) im never ever going to spend more than $250 total just in ram, so this is the best i could find.

I just want fsb speed, i dont believe in tight timings anymore (you could convince me of the contrary if you like) so these sticks are just good for me.

I just need a memory guru to tell me what modules are in these babies, because AFAIK my kingston pc3700 ones have some hynix rubbish that precisely doesnt like voltage or any divider besides 1:1.

Will these sticks handle 5:4 appropiately? thats all i want to know

thnx in advance

For your budget, I VERY VERY STRONGLY suggest these here: http://www.komusa.com/51ddrpc53fco.html

They are $124 a piece for 512mb sticks, buy two and you're just barely within your budget. (You don't need the heatspreaders, and you MUST select the ADATA option for best results) This is the exact same ram I'm using now and that I used when I owned your 2.4c :) These puppies did 284FSB 1:1 at 2.85v in BIOS 100% stable in everything, and in fact did 292FSB 1:1 with that same voltage that was completely stable in memtest for days on end (but the system wasn't stable in Windows, I'm assuming because of motherboard limitations)

This is seriously fast ram for very little money...

Yeah to the Komusa. For the money, it is very hard to find better P4 performance. I have linked to the dual-kit, which is a few dollars more, but has the advantage of being able to be RMA's as a set, if one of the sticks doesn't perform as good as the other. That is the only benefit of buying the dual kit. They are telling you that they have tested them together, so if one runs 265 and the other only 260, you can send them both back and get another pair, not just a single stick. This may or may not be of value to you, but it is just a suggestion. Either way, you should be happy with your purchase when you make it.
