I'm running a Duron 800 Mhz CPU on an EpoX 8KTA3 MoBo
I just installed a 300 watt PSU to replace the 250 and was able to get up to 1000 Mhz And that for me is a big deal :)

congratulations, what settings are you using to obtain 1000 mhz ?

Settings =

FSB - 133
CPU Ratio 7.5
VCORE 1.800
VAGP 1.8
VIO 5.33

Any suggestions on how to improve it??

Yes the Duron runs on a 100 mhz fsb which is double pumped internally to obtain the 200 mhz FSB, in the same way that Athlon T-Birds run on a 133 mhz FSB which is internally pumped to obtain the 266 mhz FSB. The Duron however can run on a 133+ mhz FSB quite happily.

Nice Overclock!! I love to see Durons over 1 gig. I never got
my 700 over 950.

They are part of the information displayed on the CPU core and can give a indication of how well a CPU will overclock

OK So what is the importance of the stepping.. and if I take out the cpu to look at it.. what should I look for??

Specific codes generally overclock better for example the Athon 1 ghz AXIA is generally a good CPU, have a look at the CPU database on the front of overclockers to see what steppings do better
