hey guys/girls.. I am new here, so plz help me... I haver never triedto overclocking my computer before :-9
I have a pII333, taht i have clocked to a 4*100 = 400

Then i wanna clock it to at least 450, but 500 or 550 would be nice, butwhen i go over 400, nothing goes on the screen, or the computer restart all the time...

my mother board is
epox p2-112a
My bis is not updated before, it is 1.xx, and i have never tried that before

thanks for the help

There are three things that I can suggest off the top of my head: Cooling, more cooling, and a slight bump in CPU core voltage. In that order. Do the cooling first before increasing voltage. Probably 5X100 is about the most you can expect, but you need better cooling. Did I mention cooling?

batboy has a good point there. Try upping your VCore, but donīt get past 2.4V. If a chip doesnīt work at 2.4, it hardly will at anything over it.

Iīm not sure if batboy mentioned it, but donīt forget to cool it well. (You know, thatīs something we overclockers often forget about...)

Hi jk2210,
check your temps with MotherBoardMonitor that you found at http://mbm.livewiredev.com/ and remember your chip temps never must go over 50 degree C, but less is better, especially for extreme OC.
At the moment you've just got a great Oc, but probably with a new Cooler and a thin layer of thermal paste you can gain other Mhz.
The best ways for slot1 chip are the Globalwin vos32 & the Alpha P3125, but you can consider a Cpu upgrade supported by your Mobo.

I hope it helps you ;)
