I've got a 74 GB Raptor hooked to the VIA SATA (non-raid - I just have one drive) and I am trying to install Windows XP 64 bit edition (free 1 year trial from Microsoft).

I used the utility on the motherboard's driver CD to make the storage driver disk but it says my drivers are corrupted. None of them look to be specifically for a 64 bit OS - so I wonder if I need a special driver or something.

Anyone know?

TIA....

Well I do know that 64 bit requires different drivers........

Yeah, I had a bit of trouble finding them but I've got them now. Thanks....

On a side note, shipping 64 bit hardware without available 64 bit drivers is BS. Making this work should not be this hard. I had to find LAN and SATA beta drivers from a different forum rather than from Asus (the manufacturer).

Idiocy. Now I know why I spend most of my time on Linux.
