basically i started a new job as a computer techie guy and what is some must have software?


i have latest ati, nvidia, direct x drivers

multiple explot fixes

adaware, spybot

winzip,winrar

acrobat reader

ie explorer

sp1


what else should i have or take of my list?

upgrade your os to sp2, what about antivirus software, firewall software, defrag software, maybe a program like Norton Windoctor that diagnoses problems with windows, and a program that cleans and fixes the registry

isnt sp2 still beta? cause winupdate doesnt do it automatically yet

I'm not sure, I updated to it when it was still under IT and network resource managers approved. I would check, it may have gone official because the flood of threads here have stopped for the most part
