Ok I had a soyo 6vba 133 motherboard 566@850 256 meg cas2
Radion 32ddr vid card 20 7200rpm hard drive, nic card....sound card blaster live ok i came home from work and it was bad weather the computer was froze i restarted it and it never restarted again so i went and bought a 300 watt power supply abit bx133 raid board and i put differant vid card and a366 cel chip and didn't put any other cards in it i did put the same hard drive/floppy and the same ram,ok the same thing it the power button the hard drive comes on fans all work cd rom blinks but a black screen what could it be? i do not get any post codes

Are you saying your house was hit by lightning?
When the pc was "froze" when you came home was there a picture on the monitor?
Did you not have a surge protector?

yes i have a surge protestor and yes there was a picture it was just froze up

I would open it up, pull each peripheral card out and inspect for marks (burns or melted connections), ditto the CPU and memory. Put the memory back, the vid card, the CPU, connect the monitor and fire it up. If it works, then you have eliminated those, if no picture, bios, anything, but you can hear the HDD spinning, then it is either CPU, or video card.

Do you even get beeps?
