ok, i'm not quite sure where to post this...

but, see my brother is about to leave for the navy here in like november. he is thinking about getting a laptop.

I was wondering, does anyone know of a decent laptop for about 1000 dollars US. That is decent, and can play Computer games.

he really likes the game " City of Hero's " and such. he doesn't need anything that can play Doom 3 or anything.

Also, he doesn't need a super powerfull CPU either. but he wants something that can do what he wants, surf net, and play games.

anyone have any idea's?

oh, and i forgot to add

needs to be a windows platform.

also, we can probably go up to around 1,600 dollars. roughly. if the laptop is really good, that could me an exception.

As many know I am a big fan of Dell if you need to go OEM especially in notebooks. What you describe sounds like the Dell 5150 line would be right. 15" LCD SXGA or UXGA, the Mobo can use P4 w/HT, up to 2GB DDR 2700, wide range of Gfx cards
