Athlon 600

Hi everyone, i have some experience overclocking (PII 266 @ 333) but i have a question that has been daunting me. Two years ago i was in the market for a new pc but i ended up getting a compaq bought for me by my dad with little warning. I was happy and angry at the same time, a free athlon 600 but it was a compaq. After being told many times that i could not overclock this machine i decided to appeal my case to the most knowledgable people i could find and ended up here. So my question is: is it possible to overclock my compaq system running an AMD athlon @ 600M?
