Fan Placement

Hi. I have a quick queston. Right now I have a 80mm fan in the front of may case blowing air in. (my fan setup is air from front to back) I just got another 80 mm fan. Should I put this fan in the top of my case and leave the other in the front? Have one in the side blowing air in right over my cpu and leave the other in front? Or have one on top and another over the cpu. (the one on top would take air out and the one over the cpu would be blowing air in.) Which is better?

Do you only have the 1 front 80mm intake? if so, I'd say stick the new 80 as an exhaust in the back or the top. Probably the back, so the airstream won't have to make a 90 degree turn and maybe slow down, IMHO

In my case at least, a side intake did absolutely nothing. But it had pretty good airflow already.

just to make it clear. I have one 8mm fan in the front. 3 Smaller fans are also in the fron. All blowing in. I have two 80mm in the back with a slot fan.

I would almost go for one in the top. It made a differance for me anyway
