View Full Version : Diablo II and Win2K
<sigh> More drama when installing games.
I installed Diablo 2, and the Lord of Destruction expansion, and I get an error when running the video test. It doesn't detect my video device. I'm running Win2K SP2 with compatibility updates an nVidia 12.90 drivers. Can anyone help?
And more...
What Sandra had to say about DirectX (this is after updating to 8.0a from the Windows Update site).
Any help? Anyone? I don't wanna have to reformat my harddrives from NTFS to FAT32 so I can reinstall W98, and I don't wanna wait two months for XP! I'm dying here!Any help? Anyone? try finding different drivers from nVidia. Perhaps beta drivers. You could also try re-applying your servicepack 2.
I had the same trouble with the 12.90 drivers!
The only remedy I found was to use OLD drivers!
I'm using 5.12 right now(!!!!!) but I think there was a driver around 6 or 7 that worked as well.
Blizzard seems to have trouble with these newer video cards: must be all the complex graphics!!!
D2 rocks, LOD is cool, but I wish it had some new maps.
