Yes peltiers really work! They have the potential to drop well beyond the freezing point of water!
two questions for you though:
What kind of chip will you be cooling? And what will you use to cool the hotside of the peltier?
That peltier may not be large enough if you plan on using an AMD CPU or an Intel P4!
It is highly recommended that with a peltier this size, that you cool it with watercooling. A peltier of that size can easily overpower most any heatsink on the market, which is just asking for trouble!
Thanks you so much.
But I am not sure.. what is the meaning of overpower? It need a heatsink for cooling peltier?and is peltier using water?
Actually, I just want it stick near the case fan .. that can create cooler air~ .. does it make sense? And do you have any suggestion that can cool my Harddisk? I think My Harddisk is really hot...
Thanks a lot...

Go here http://www.overclockers.com/topiclist/index21.asp#PELTIERS and read everything you can. Don't believe it all though, becuase a few of the formulas that these articles talk about are incorrect. Just read them to get a better understanding of what a peltier is, and how it works.
