Is there a way of telling if the AMD cpu i am going to buy is going to be a AYHJAR CPU?

The AthlonMP whats that the Palamino? CPU

Ask to see the chip and just read the stepping. Some dealers list the stepping in the description , newegg.com does this on some of their OEM chips I'm sure others do this aswell. I've heard you can just go to pricewatch.com and type in the stepping you want then you will get a list of sellers who have those chips.

Athlon is the chip Thunderbird is the core for the chip.
AthlonMP is the chip Palimino is the core for the chip.
