I have been reading the various posts about Artic Silver II grease and I have a couple of questions that I just need refirmation on.

1) How to apply the grease?
2) How much should I use?
3) Where should I apply it to? HS or Proc?

I have some information and probably disinformation about the Artic Silver paste. I thought I had read that the paste, which may be called adhesive (are these separate products?), is permanent. If I apply it, the it will permanently hold the HS to the Proc. Is this true? Or can I remove the HS from the Proc incase I want to change them? Is there much involved with removing the HS from the Proc? For the grease you just unhook the HS and carefully lift up, is this so with the paste or is more force needed?

I am new to this 'level' of computer components and would like to get as much info and questions answered before I mess with anything.

TIA,
Dave

Go to their site, they give detailed instructions on how to apply it correctly.

Can someone throw the link up, I'm at work and don't know it off hand.

the adheasive u should NEVER use on a cpu....if u did then u will probably never be able to seperate it from your heatsink

use that for sticking heatsinks onto vid card or motherboard northbridge
