Dropped the multi to 8x and upped to 200, 205, and 210...at 210 it errors out with 5-20 errors in test #5...

I have upped the vdimm to 2.9v
I have upped the vcore to 1.75v
I have upped the chipset to 1.7

I have 3-3-2-8 timings right now (stock DDR466)...I have tried CAS 2.5 as well...nothing changed..as well as a tRAP of 11 which has been known to be sweet for the NF7-s rev2

What is needed to change in order to up the FSB and pass memtest other than looser timings and more vdimm?

This board has done 215 @ 2-2-2-5 on LVL2 Mushy...so it's not board limited...

Any ideas?

wow, looking at your specs, you're rig is fine and dandy..... have you done the L12 mod to the mb yet? that may help you get stable over 220. There are a few people running basically the same system you have minus the cpu.... if the L12 mod doesn't work someone should be able to help you in the Abit mb section.

I have not done the L12 mod yet...and it may be on my list of things to do tomorrow if this keeps up.....or else I'm going to point the finger to my mobo or the Barton....

Update....just set the mem divider to 6/5 @ 210fsb and it passed memtest...does this mean the memory is crap?

EDIT: I actually have looked into the L12 mod extensively...and it may be required if I want to do 230 fsb...but from the results I just gathered in memtest...it looks as if my OCZ isn't running close to spec at all...

Try checking out this thread from AndyT of OCZ. Go to post #5 for the pertinent portion.

Recently a bunch of the guys bought Buffalo Tech PC3700 which uses the same Micron chips as the EB in hopes of duplicating the stellar results being reported with the EB series ram. It did not work out well for most, with the notable exception of Rabbi. He has run 246 using the BT PC3700 on his Abit NF7, with some very decent timings. You might want to consider sending him a PM to see if he can offer you some suggestions. Links to those threads follow. Since they use the same chips, and many of the boards used by the guys are the same as yours, there may be something of worth in there for you. Good luck.
