Currently looking to buy new memory for MSI K7N2 Delta-ILSR with Athlon 2700+ as my A-Data DDR400 512MB died when I set FSB to 200(400)MHz 😠

I am looking at two specific items from Outpost.com (or I might possibly actually go to the real store):

Corsair 512MB PC3200 400MHz 2-32x64 DDR 184Pin - Model #VS512MBKIT400C3 - Lifetime Warranty
# Size: 512MB (2x256MB)
# Speed: 400MHz
# Dual Channel DDR Memory

-or-

Geil 1GB PC3200 400MHz 2-64x64 Value Dual Channel DDR Memory 184Pin - Model
#GE1G3200BDC - Lifetime Warranty
# Size: 1GB (2x512MB)
# Speed: 400MHz
# Dual Channel DDR Memory

Which is better value? Or is there another place that can get me a GB of DDR dual channel for cheaper (with a good brand, obviously)?

You'd be better off with a gig of CAS 2.5 RAM than just 512 of CAS 2, go with the GEIL. I use it and it OCs pretty well

well a 1GB is always welcome and will be usefull in future, so geil is better deal but you have to consider timings on the memories, If they have pretty similar timings I would go with geil 1GB

Geil 1GB 2x512MB - 2.4, 7-4-4 (would that be 2.5-4-4-7? if so, then it'd be 7-4-4-2.5 on my board) - This is Geil's "Value" product line

Corsair 512MB 2x256MB - This is Corsair's "Value Select" Line and it seems that they don't publish it's specs other than CAS latency of 3? I can't find more specific info than that even from their own website and the PDF datasheet.

The Geil memory already has a lower CL, and there's also twice as much of it.

Now what'd be really cool: My HSF was (is?) doing a great job, unloaded temp was still under 52C at 180MHz FSB. My mobo's max FSB setting is 233MHz... multiplier is only 13 or lower, since processor is only unlocked down direction (but it's a '03 week 16, I though they were completely unlocked?). If I can get it to 233x13 at 2V or less and unloaded temp of 70C or less (at 180x13 it was still only 49-51 unloaded) then I'll be able to have it at 3029MHz and still be able to play UT99 on it :) I am now babbling and probably thinking of things that it could never do on air cooling... Still, a 3.03GHz 2700+ would be really cool. Assuming the Geil DDR400 can handle pretending to be DDR466.
