RAM problems please help

Hey i just built my first computer ever 2 days ago and i am having a problem with my ram. It's running stable and everything but it is not running stock timings. Stock timings are 2.5-3-3-6 mine is running 3-3-3-8 according to CPU-Z and bios. I have 2 512's of Corsair XMS pc3200 ( http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=20-145-449&depa=1 ), EPoX "EP-8KDA3J" and A64 3200+ all stock. Why wont my ram run atleast stock timings?? How can i fix this?

good question, there are so many chipsets out there now, my feeling is that alot of memory makers do the majority of their acceptance testing on intel rigs, cause thats where most of their business comes from..

on the corsair site it says it should run 2-3-3-6 on intels and 2.5-3-3-6 on AMD's.
