Finally i made it! Now my monster runs at 1.60 GHz (more accurately: 1.597,1 GHz) - at a work load of only C28!
Don't you believe it? Have a look at http://home.powertech.no/ewp/overclock.htm
(includet BIOS setup).

Well done. What HSF are you using?

very nice!
28C is a very low temp for an AMD at 1.6 gig. I would be suspect of an inaccurate temp reading esspecially considering that you are using a stock fan! Also is this temp idle or full load, it makes a big differance.

Nope. Before I started my special cooling, the idle temp was about C40 and during 3DMark2001 it was close to C60. This moment, when I run Explorer and Outlook, the temp is C26.
Hold on a moment while I run 3DMark.....
Immediately after 3DMark2001 the temperature is C39. While I'm writing, it is sinking again. After 60 secs its down to C33.

wow, how on earth do u keep it so cold. without even overclocking mine at normal 1.4GHz it is already at 50-54C. what kind of coling are u using. i'm pretty new at AMD chips but i've never had problems with Intel Chips. maybe there is something i'm missing in this AMD overclocking. hopefully somebody can tell me my problem. what spec. are at the bottom :)

Well, by using CPUcool, and I also have modified the air cooling system. Have a look at the details at http://home.powertech.no/ewp/overclock.htm.

Hey infidel , try this out run 3dmark2000 lopped ten or more times , now you have to make sure you loop it this is much different then running ten individual times recieving ten individual scores. Make sure you have MBM enabled then after the benchmark double click on the the little chip and go into the "high/low" section and then tell me how high your cpu temps rise.
Now when I run 3dmark2001 and check my temps immediatly after , they are never over 42c and usually the are like 41 and change. Granted you still have better temps than I can ever dream with my current cooling setup , you will almost definetly get 2c higher FULL LOAD temps using my above method.
1.4@1.597@"39c or 41c" fully loaded is still very very amazing!!
By the way the link above doesn't work , give us the goods these temps are amazing , I want to do this to my computer.
Oh ya , what temp is the room or area your PC is resting?
