I got it and on top of it there a plate on wich there is the MHz and AMD icon, is this plate removable so I can get to the core of the CPU itself?

yeah u can remove it but some say don't because the K6-3 cores are very delicate and that it's only protection, But if u are gonna really overclock it then removing it will allow better cooling.
