I have on my desk (I dont know why) an Aluminium block that measures 2" x 1 5/8" x 1". It has been machine to within 2/100,000 of an inch flat, and I dont know what to do with it yet! Anyone have any ideas? The flat side is the 1" side.

Make it into Rheostat knobs. Or speaker knobs, or case buttons, or, hell, an etched case badge.

video card waterblock :)
...a loaded dice? (just drill the 'one' dot real deep) :D
make it into a socket a mount to test the waterblock you're building or to mount cpus on when you whant to solder the L1 bridges.
