has 256 MB of RAM only shows 192MB in windows and Bios...

as the title says i have 256MB of RAM but this Laptop is only showing and using 192MB of the RAM....its shows that in Bios and in windows and the bios doesnt gve much options here is 2 screen shots of what im working with ...thx for your help guys...

Your onboard video is probably using 64MB.

Yep, that's almost certainly it. This isn't an AGP apeture thing either, this is "shared memory" that a lot of cheap onboard video chipsets use on both desktop and laptop systems. Essentially the video card has ZERO memory in it, and instead uses normal system memory for it's framebuffer and everything.

Very horrible performance, usually not perfectly stable anyway due to the questionable chipsets that support it, and more often than not it can't be changed :(
