Our company is starting to use blackberrys, and we have it set up pop 3 to our exchange server. The problem is, when our client uses the blackberry, and then goes to the office to use outlook, it marks all the email as "read" because I guess the pop3 marks it as read, but then the client doenst know what he read and didnt read by the time he gets to the office. anybody bump into this and knows a fix? blackberry doesnt know how to get around this either.

doesn't sound like there is a way around that at all unless it's something someone missed when they set up the exchange server to allow the blackberries

get the blackberry enterprise server to redirect the email. Or you can setup a contact for each user with an external email address of the blackberry email address. Then configure exchange to forward a COPY of all mail to a specific user to the contact AND the mailbox.
For example
User: John Doe
Email: jdoe@mycompany.com
Create a new contact in the users OU in AD Users and Computers
Contact: John Doe Blackberry
email: <email@OfBlackberryDevice.com>
(I have set up a few with tmobile, the blackberry device email address is the phone number @tmomail.net ie. 8185551234@tmomail.net)

Set up exchange to forward all mail incoming to Jdoe@mycompany.com to the contact John Doe Blackberry AND to the mailbox.
This will work for basic email forwarding.
The best solution is to purchase the Blackberry Enterprise Server. This allows calander and mail items to *Sync* wirelessly in real time!!!
