Bah the P4 sucks go with the new P/// 1.3 gig with a 512k cache. I am sure it would dawg a P4 anyday. Well untill thier is an OS out there that can handle the new way that the P4 spits out the codeing. As far as I know MS XP will now cover the coding that the P4 needs to be at full speed so untill its there I wouldn't buy one and the fact that your stuck with rambus(Well you can get a DDR board for one but you lose some of the already lacking power of the P4) which is crap for the most part Rambus is very expensive and can't OC all that well so you can be the judge.

Spend wisely and have a very nice OC man

The reason that the P-4 prices are down is because Intel is trying to unload these dogs. Don't buy the Willimette P-4 (the current version) because they are already nearly obsolete. Wait until the new version of the P-4 is introduced (Northwood) which will have a 0.13 micron core rather than the present 0.18 micron core. The new P-4 will require a different motherboard than the old P-4, so that there will be no direct upgrade path.

That and there is a major pricing war going on with AMD, if thats not bad enough for AMD, intel just released a 2ghz p4 2 days ago and demoed a 3.5ghz p4 northwood today.. I can just hear Intel screaming .. "Die Amd.. Die...".. man this is getting interesting! ;)
