i got the tips i needed before getting the T-bird 1.4GHz but now a new problem arise. i sold of my Swiftech MC462 for ThermoEngine V60-4225. i know that was a stupid move but i guess i needed the money. i'll get it back later but as of now, i've overclock the CPU from 1.4 to 1.5 but at a very very high tempeture. is it okay that i leave it like that or will my CPU die on me sooner then usual? i raise the voltage to 1.7v and runs at 143 FSB at 10.5X. is that configuration okay for that kind of temp? i want to get it higher but it just won't go. will burning it in for awhile help? also, i am using the ASUS probe software, is that accurate? please advice. thank you in advance. god bless all your T-bird CPU :)

ASUS is supposed to be very inaccurate , gow to tweakfiles.com (http://tweakfiles.com) and download MBM and Vcool and maybe even CPUcool then check and see what the temps are.

IF THEY ARE ACTUALLY AT 65C TURN OFF THE COMPUTER!!!

At full load my cpu never goes over 44c granter this is only a 1.2@1.3 (145x9).

That is way high, shut down and re-think how bad you need an AMD keychain. I would underclock until I get the swifty back
