View Full Version : getting 2 psu to turn on at same time via power switch

i have 2 psu's.how can i get both power supplies to turn on when the power button is pressed?

Find the green wire on the 20-pin leads of both PSUs and connect them. Also connect a ground from one to a ground on the other. When you turn on the computer, they should turn on at the same time.

ok so you splice the green wires and hook connect em. but i dont understand the ground wire thing,. which wires are ground? black ones? and do i do the same as with the green to the black ones?

All the ground wires are black. Yes, you splice the green wires together. Also, splice any black wire from one to any black wire of the other. After you've done this you can test your handiwork by plugging in both PSU's and using a paperclip or something to short either green wire to ground. As long as you leave the paperclip there, the PSUs should run. Be sure to take the paperclip out before you actually use them in the computer though. :p

If you read to the end of the posting it has a note that gives credit to the site I listed as being the original source. I noticed some of the stuff was copied word for word since it sounded very familiar.
