question about auto update install of sp2

I did one yesterday before I had display drivers and directx, and it installed the lame ati drivers with no control panel for me!!! So I started over and have omega display drivers and 9.0C. I'm on sp1, when I go to sp2 do you think it will install the crappy drivers again?

I installed the win xp with sp2 intergrated and found my system would lock up, and after it would give b.s.o.d with the error 0x000000f4 which i found no info on so i reformatted to regular xp and the probs went away, so myself i will wait awhile till M$ gets the bugs out before i install again. If you look around there are a few horror stories about sp2 so i would so some investigating before you use it. B.T.W the event veiwer says that it was a critical system program shut down unexpectedly that caused the error
