For the past week everytime I boot up my comp it loads to the login screen in windows xp pro and does nothing for about 1-2 minutes after I enter my pass. I can even hear the hdd's stop spinning during this time and my hdd activity light goes out for the entire duration. Finally it will load into windows, but only after a minute or two. Does anyone know what the problem might be? I've defragged, virus checked, with norton and avg, both updated. I've msconfiged, and spybot s&d as well as hijacked this. I don't have a clue. I even have ZA watching my net connections. Everything seems up to snuff, but I'm still having the problem no matter what. The comp is my orange sig rig. Thanks in advance.
