are the 2 compatible? had 2 sticks of 512mb pc3200 corsair value select ram and stalls while loading models in Counter Strike. My samsung pc2100 ram doesn't do it so i know its not a CS problem. no errors in memtest... this leads me to believe the ram isn't compatible with my nf7. can anyone verify this? if they aren't compatible, can anyone tell me some good ram thats compatible with it that costs no more then about $100 for 512mb (a little more is ok but not much). Thanks!

by the way, i have a 2400+ cpu...which is 266FSB...does this mean i can't run my ram at ddr400? i know its a dumb question but i'm pretty new to this kinda thing lol.

Run a "Blend" torture test in Prime95.

What vdimm and memory timings?

2.7v and 2.5-3-3-11 no matter what either is, it doesn't help.

Try upping the chipset voltage. If that doesn't work call Corsiar and see what they say.

voltage has been 2.9 and its been underclocked to 133mhz with 3-4-4-11 timings and it STILL did this man. corsair doesn't support their value select hardly at all. they say the xms and their more expensive ram works with the nf7 but won't say anything but "it should work" for the value select. not to mention, u guys know more about ram than the smartest guy at corsair (or any other company's) tech support.

No, those guys at tech support now are pretty smart unlike the OEM computer tech support people.

We can't help you anymore since you have losened the timings up and it still doesn't work overclocked, you now need to contact the place you bought the stuff from and RMA or return it.

I'd try another BIOS, available thru the link in my sig.

can those nf7-s bios' work with just the plain nf7?

and can anyone PLEASE verify if Corsair Value Select pc3200 ram works with the NF7 rev 2.0? thanks.

I have no idea if a -s bios would work on a plain jane NF7.

Please just call up Corsair or the store you got the memory from and tell them what's wrong, their tech support is pretty good and they will definatly get this issue resolved.

Yes, it does work for me. I can run it at 227fbs with d25merlin bio 2.0.1 cpc on. This is one stick i'm talking about.

I think it's a bios problem. It is known that the cpc-on has some issues with 2*512 sticks. Try a bios with cpc disabled..
And the Value Sellect works for me..check my sig.

this is 1x512mb. i keep hearing CPC on has probs with double sided ram (which 512mb is). i'll flash to it and see if it works...

Good to know this. I was just getting ready to upgrade to 2 x 512 mb.
I guess I'll do 2 x 256mb + a 512mb stick so I can still do dual channel with a gig.
