ok heres my prob my duron was running at 863 / 115*7.5. i worked with it for i think 4 - 5 houres without having it locked once ... i shut down my pc and restarted it 3 houres after ... i get in windows everything is loaded ... i move my cursor ... bam gets locked ... ok i reboot and increase my core voltage to 1.65 instead of 1.625 ... i boot after 5 min in windows ... again it locks ... my temp of my cpu was less than 40 ... what does this mean? that i cant overclock my cpu anymore or?
now for the moment i decreased my fsb to 112 ... but i want to make my duron hit 900
thx
I would increase your vcore little by little, just to get your system
stable. Watch your temps!!!

i just tought about some things ... i have a cd writer, 1hdd, 1case fan, 1floppy, abitkt7e, kyro2 ... and i have a PS of 300W could this be a problem?
could it also be that my duron isnt able to get any higher than 112mhz fsb???
thx
I don't think your PSU is a problem, and I also think that increacing the Vcore will help you. Just be sure to keep an eye on the temp's.
BTW What Motherboard do you have?

abit kt7e ... duron 750 @ 840 hope it ll go higher
an other thing that it could be is my ram ... i have 2 / 128megs of pc133 but one is major third branded the other corsair
euh my vcore is by default 1.60 how high do you think i can go ... or is it just looking at my temp ... ?
thx
I had my old Duron run at 1.85V for over a half year, with no problems, so as long as your temps are fine, you can up the Vcore.
I think you should start with 1.65/1.70V and see what happens.
Remember: Watch your temp's! Stay below 50C at full load.

ok ill try that ... so you dont think the ram has something to do with it?
euh my temp now ... 840 ... is idle 36-37 full load 45
No I don't think your RAm's are the problem, unless one of the sticks are rated 100MHz, but you are writing that they are 133MHz, so I can't see how they could be a problem.

ok ... so the only thing it could be is that i have to increase my vcore voltage ... or my duron just doesnt go that high ... or is 840 too low to stop for a duron 750
Yep 840MHz is to low, and I'm almost sure that you can get at least 900MHz out of it. Try to up the Vcore, it's not that dangerous :) As long as your temp's are ok.
