google.com is a quick and easy way to find answers for questions like this. To answer it in short I'll give you a little comparison. the x800 seires is the flagship line of graphics cards for ati...x600 is the midrange and seems to be the 9600 series on pci express boards....x300 is more like a 9600se...it's slower than the x600 and can use 64bit 128bit ddr mem. x300 is entry level and has full dx9 support
Are you crazy lol The X300 will be blown away by the x800 in all tests :)

to put it easy the x300 is like a 9200 but in pci and with the direct x 9 support

x300 sucks....
the performance would be probably equal or a little bit better than radeon 9200(which sucks ass in itself)
while the x600 would be compared to a radeon 9600(which is an okay card)
and x800 would be the flagship of ati.
