3.2C or 3.2E ? ? ?

...am looking into either one of these,[ 3.2C or the 3.2E ], and would like to know which would be better???.....i can get either at about the same price; i do run around a 15 to 25 % oc.......much appreciate any feedback to help decide......thx.....

...........btw....... this is like a surprise for my DAD, but this is going to be running with his NEW = ATi (R) X800 XT PE ! ! ! , tryin to get him a newer CPU, now......... 8-)

is this going to be in the system in your sig or your dad's?

if its going into the one in your sig, get the 3.2e, you can handle the heat with your h2o cooling.

if its a diff comp, what mobo, RAM, and type of cooling fo you have?

I would agree with SomaGaze, make sure you can cool this cookie down.... my 3.2E runs 44 idle and 54 load. I have a DD RBX and a dual 120 radiator setup directly to CPU only. It seems that the only advantage to the E is that when you overclock it high enough it will outperform the C. Otherwise get the C for the out of the box performance.

PS: saw the z-680's in your sig...don't they rule? i just picked up a pair the other week...blows my old cambridge 4.1 sys out of the water...

...thx guys for quick reply's...forgot to say that memory here, he's got......OCZ's...3500EB(2x512); OCZ's 4000 - in sig's; Muskin's 3500(2x512) lvl 2; couple set's of the OCZ's 3700's 1st edition; i see some Corsair's and Geil's in the drawer, also.......
